Model drawings.

Women sitting, resting on the right arm.

These drawings are ofte quick drawings of people in different possitions, done in a few minutes or more.

I order to portrai the body better and to get a better understanding of the human anatomy, this type of drawings studies are best done of the naked body.

The discipline are called croquis.

The goal is to practice drawing the proportions of the human anatomy and shapes, from different angles.

It is also important to be able to see the posture as well as the gravity point of the body, in order to illustrate it correctly.

The realtionship between light and shadow are often described using shading in the shadows, in order to portrai the shape.

This drawing is realtively quickly done, ca. five minutes, with a line of carcoal, that ads characteristics as well as simplicity.

I thought that the carcoal suited the colored paper, and therefore I have chosent o use it for a numbers of croquis drawings.

The back of a woman sitting.

For this drawing I think that I have used 10-15 minutes, pencil on white paper.

Eventhoug the pencil is realtively soft, it gives a better opertunaties to draw in details, than the carcoal.

The significants in this drawing is to illustrate the musculature in the back and the surface, as well as the figurs gravity points.

Woman standing

This drawing is done with a soft pencil on paper.

It is an example of an other way to create shapes, besides usings shading in the shadows.

The shape is described using a variation in the lines, as well as the lines inside the figure.

Dancing with a fan.

This is a very quickly done drawing, since tha model is moving while beeing drawn.

The purpose of the drawing is to capture the movement, more than it is to illustrate the tradmarks of the figure.

Due till the quickstile and because of the focus on all of the figures movement, the drawing are done in simple lines.

Since it is not actually possible to draw as quick as the figure are moving, a part of the drawing are created by caputring the movement, keeping it in the memomry for a short while.

This is in oppersition to most croquis drawings, which are done by observing the object, that are being drawn.
